2019 Volvo V90 Cross Country Specs, Release Dates, Prices

The 2019 Volvo V90 Cross Country is 5-door, 5-seat large premium all-road wagon. It is built on the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA), Volvo advanced modular product platform that underpins all Volvo cars in the 60 and 90 Series.

Since the introduction of the first Cross Country over 20 years ago, Volvo Cars has become synonymous with the rugged all-road, all-weather segment. The V90 Cross Country takes the elegance of the V90 and transforms it into an all-road estate that delivers safety, practicality, comfort and performance in a capable and adventurous package.

Like its siblings in the 90 Series, the 2019 Volvo V90 Cross Country carries the proud and confident face of Volvo’s design language, along with classic Volvo styling cues. Key features include the iconic “Thor’s Hammer” LED headlight design, the new grille and Volvo Iron Mark, and the expressive use of the Volvo word mark on the rear.

Exterior design cues underline the car’s Cross Country nature, while an increased ride height of 60 mm and a chassis optimised for comfort and control in all weather and road conditions further add to the car’s special position within the Volvo portfolio.

In the cabin, Volvo has taken cues from the clean, Scandinavian interior design of its XC90 model and raised the bar with new details on the dashboard and instrument panel, including new air blades that stand vertically on each side of the Sensus user interface.

  • Updated functionality for the Intellisafe system

Advanced driver aids such as Electronic Stability Control and Understeer Control Logic keep the V90 Cross Country stable, adding to the way it handles corners. And when you come to a stop, the V90 Cross Country helps you to get going again thanks to Hill Start Assist. On uneven ground, the Active chassis with rear air suspension comes into its own, taking bumps and twists in its stride. When selecting Off-road mode from the Drive Mode menu, the car becomes easier to drive on difficult surfaces such as wet grass, mud and loose gravel by changing the way the engine delivers its power.
