If you are familiar with the traditional elegance of Lexus ES, the fully redesigned 2019 model may throw you for a loop. But there’s no need to fear because the 2019 Lexus ES 350 has an aggressive new look, better performance and new attitude, but continues its reputation of being calm, reliable and comfortable. It’s longer, lower and wider, which gives it a more sporty profile and really spacious inside. For the first time, the ES 350 buyers can choose from basic, ultra luxury to sporty ES 350 F Sport. This option provides greater potential to lure luxury sedan buyers away from the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4, Acura TLX and Infiniti Q50.
The 2019 Lexus ES 350 are available in four trim levels: base, Luxury, Ultra Luxury and F Sport. Even in its base form, the ES 350 is well-equipped. It has 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlight and taillight, a power moonroof, NuLuxe synthetic leather, dual-zone climate control, and 10-way power-adjustable front seat. Buyers also get a touch-pad interface, a 7-inch display, a 10-speaker audio system and three USB ports. In addition to the 3.5-liter V6, the base ES 350 comes with push-button start and Drive Mode Select.
Every 2019 Lexus ES 350 come with the Lexus Safety System+ 2.0, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert, lane-tracing assist, 10 airbags, and more. Power tilt/telescoping steering wheel, Apple CarPlay, and memory settings are optional.
Under the hood, the 2019 Lexus ES 350 continues to use a 3.5-liter V6 engine, which is now more powerful and more fuel-efficient than they were last year. It generates 302 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque, and is paired with a new eight-speed automatic transmission. The F Sport model doesn’t add any power to the mix, but it has a different suspension setup plus different drive mode, including Sport S, Sport S+ and Custom. Front-wheel drive is standard on every ES 350. In track testing, the 2019 Lexus ES 350 accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 6.6 seconds.
