While some SUV crossover looks like a rugged off-roader, the 2019 Land Rover Discovery is the opposite. The luxurious Discovery pampers its passengers with the latest technology and safety systems, packed in upscale and user-friendly interiors. The Discovery aluminum structure creates a strong yet lightweight SUV that can accommodate up to seven people. Off-road activities, the Discovery is capable with its advanced terrain-management system that allows it to explore places outside the boundary. The 2019 Land Rover Discovery is midsize luxury SUVs available in three trim levels: SE, HSE and HSE Luxury. The SE and HSE models have five seats with an optional third row, while the HSE Luxury comes standard with seven seat.

The base SE Discovery includes the Terrain Response 2 system, LED headlights, auto high beams, fixed panoramic sunroof, lane-keep assist, emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, power inner tailgate, hands-free power tailgate, dual-zone climate control, 12-way-adjustable front seats, navigation and leather interior. Engine Specs

There are two engines available in the 2019 Land Rover Discovery: gas and diesel. The standard is a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 producing an impressive 340 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. Optional on HSE and HSE Lux models is a turbocharged diesel V6 good for 254 hp and 443 lb-ft. Both engines are paired with 8-speed automatic transmission. Full-time four-wheel drive is standard across the board and includes a single-speed transfer case. A 2-speed transfer case is optional and highly recommended if you plan to do off-road activities, as are locking rear differential and air suspension. In track testing, the 2019 Land Rover Discovery HSE Luxury accelerates to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds, a mediocre result for a luxury SUV.

The 2019 Land Rover Discovery is on sale and arriving now at dealers nationwide. The base SE trim has a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) starting from $53,295 (all prices include the $995 destination fee). We recommend the better equipped Discovery HSE, which begins around $60,200. A diesel engine is an extra $2,000. The range-topping HSE Luxury trim cost just under $67,500.
