The Infiniti QX50 compact luxury SUV has been completely redesigned for 2019, and the result is a is completely different and better vehicle than before. Formerly known as Infiniti EX, this is a capable but old and inefficient SUV with sporty underpinnings. The all-new 2019 Infiniti QX50 offers the latest safety and driver-aids, more comfortable and engine optimized for efficiency. With prices starting at under $38,000, the 2019 QX50 is also more value-oriented than other luxury crossover SUV in the class. After being estranged among the luxury 5-passenger SUV, the reborn 2019 Infiniti QX50 is now able to compete with established models such as the Acura RDX, Audi Q5, and Lexus NX.
The 2019 Infiniti QX50 is available in three trims: Pure, Luxe and Essential. Notable standard equipment for the base Infiniti QX50 Pure include LED headlights, a power tailgate, dual-zone climate control and 8-way-power front seats. The infotainment system is a twin-screen setup with 6-speaker, a USB input, Bluetooth, satellite radio audio system. Safety features are the Infiniti’s Predictive Forward Collision Warning that can see two cars in front, and automatic emergency braking. Sadly, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto aren’t available on the new QX50.
The QX50 Luxe trim adds LED fog lights, blind-spot monitoring, roof rails, a power-operated panoramic moonroof, and auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink universal garage-door opener.
Under the hood, the 2019 Infiniti QX50 comes standard with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine good for 268 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. It paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional. In track testing, the 2019 Infiniti QX50 AWD went to 60 mph from 0 in 6.4 seconds. The QX50 can tow up to 3,000 pounds when optioned with AWD and the tow package.

The 2019 Infiniti QX50 is on sale and arriving now at dealers nationwide. It has a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) starting from $37,545 for the base Pure trim. The Luxe model starts at $40,395, while the topline Essential begins at $44,345. All-wheel drive is an extra $1,800.
