The 2019 Honda CR-V exterior offers sporty and innovative styling to match its comfortable and spacious interior, while also providing maximum utility value for a wide range of users. Slightly longer, wider and taller than the previous-generation, the current model is the ideal size to lead the compact SUV segment.

Defining design elements that add strength and vigor to the 2019 Honda CR-V are athletic wheel arches, a long hood with aggressive aerodynamic front-end detailing, a short rear overhang, and increased ground clearance. The design also features a 1.6-inch longer wheelbase that improves rear-seat roominess and ride quality.

Although the vehicle's silhouette is reminiscent of the previous CR-V, its details clearly define it as the next generation. These include a windswept new front end appearance, including signature Honda LED headlights (Touring trim), a Honda-first Active Shutter Grille System that lowers aerodynamic drag, uprated aluminum alloy wheel sizes, narrower A-pillars for improved visibility, and dual exhaust outlets. Adding convenience is a Honda-first available Hands Free Access Power Tailgate (Touring), which allows opening and closing the tailgate by using a foot-activated motion sensor located under the rear bumper. Available chrome garnishes, rain-sensing windshield wipers, roof rails and numerous Genuine Honda Accessories also expand beauty, convenience and functionality.

The CR-V has long been known for its accommodating and versatile interior. The 2019 Honda CR-V builds on that legacy with an even more spacious and space-efficient interior – the roomiest CR-V cabin yet – boasting top-class interior space, best-in-class rear seat legroom, a more voluminous cargo area and the easy utility of the new one-motion dive-down 60/40 split rear seat.

In typical Honda fashion, the 2019 Honda CR-V is built on a foundation of smart design, comfortable fit and intuitive controls. Upscale amenities, premium accents and available leather seating in EX-L and Touring models help give the CR-V a more luxurious feel than ever before. With 105.9 cubic feet of passenger cabin volume, the CR-V offers impressive space and comfort, particularly in the spacious rear seating area, which has gained more than two inches of additional legroom.

The 2019 Honda CR-V has an expanded 39.2 cubic ft. of cargo space behind the rear seats and a volume of 75.8 cu-ft. with the rear seats down to create a flat load floor that is 9.8 inches longer than in the previous model. Underfloor storage is available just behind the rear seats; for maximum cargo capacity, the two-position removable rear cargo floor can be set in a low position to open up even more space for tall and bulky items.

The 2019 Honda CR-V is a five-passenger crossover SUV offered in four trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L, Touring and virtually no options. Buyers can choose between front- and all-wheel drive on all trims.

The base LX comes standard with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, CVT, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED running lights, a rearview camera, automatic climate control, cruise control, a height-adjustable driver seat, Bluetooth, two USB ports, and a four-speaker audio system with a 5-inch color display. Honda's various advanced safety technologies are not offered on the LX.

The EX get a more powerful turbocharged four-cylinder engine, remote start, 18-inch wheels, foglights, heated mirrors, rear privacy glass, a retractable cargo cover, keyless entry and start, an upgraded driver information display, a sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power-adjustable driver's seat and heated front seats.

Tech features include a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Audio phone integration, satellite radio, an upgraded rearview camera, second-row USB charging ports, advanced safety features such as automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking.

The 2019 Honda CR-V EX-L adds a programmable-height power liftgate, driver-seat memory settings, leather upholstery, a power-adjustable passenger seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and an eight-speaker audio system with HD radio. A navigation system can also be added. The CR-V Touring adds LED headlights, dual chrome exhaust tips, roof rails, automatic wipers, hands-free functionality for the power liftgate, ambient interior lighting, the navigation system and a subwoofer for the audio system.
