Even though it’s starting to age, the 2019 BMW 4 Series is a polished machine with all its goodness. It packs more standard features this year and remains one of the best luxury cars on the market.

The 2019 BMW 4 Series is available as a coupe or convertible and two trims levels: 430i or 440i. Both base version may look different, but they have similar standard equipment. It includes LED headlights, automatic climate control, 10-way-power front seats, navigation and on the Coupe a moonroof. Standard infotainment is a 6.5-inch display, a 9-speaker AM/FM/CD/HD Radio system with Bluetooth streaming and USB audio input. The 440i has a more powerful 6-cylinder engine. Also standard on every 2019 BMW 4 Series is the Ultimate Care, a three years/36,000 miles of complimentary maintenance and four years/unlimited miles of roadside assistance.

Engine Specs

Two engines available for the 2019 BMW 4 Series. The base 430i models are powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that makes a robust 248 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The 440i employ a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 good for 320 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are mated to 8-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, but a 6-speed manual is available as a no-cost option for the coupe. BMW xDrive all-wheel-drive system is offered as an option regardless of bodystyle. In track testing, the 2019 BMW 430i Coupe manual accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds. The 440i Coupe Automatic did it in 4.4 seconds.

Pricing Notes

The 2019 BMW 4 Series is on sale and arriving now at dealers nationwide. The base 430i Coupe has a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) starting from $45,795, while the hardtop convertible is more with a starting price of $53,945 (all prices include the $995 destination fee). Opting for the 440i model, the prices bump to $52,195 for a Coupe and $60,995 for a convertible.
