Storied Italian designer house Pininfarina will use the Geneva auto show to unveil a concept roadster based on Alfa Romeo components. Details are thin on the ground, but the long-nosed design mirrors the redesigned BMW Z4, while the sketch shows wheels clearly borrowed from the Alfa Romeo 8C Spider.
Pininfarina says the concept’s debut commemorates the 80th anniversary of Pininfarina and the 100th anniversary of Alfa Romeo, which coincide in 2010. Recent cars penned by Pininfarina include the Maserati GranTurismo and its convertible sibling, the Ferrari 599GTB Fiorano, and even the Europe-only Ford Focus Coupé-Cabriolet. Expect more details from the Geneva auto show in early March.
