Subaru has revealed stunning performance figures for the forthcoming Cosworth edition of the STi – in the same week as unveiling an enhanced version of the WRX at the New York Motor Show.
The Cosworth fettled STi CS400 will go on sale in June, boasting 395bhp and a 0-62mph sprint of only 3.7 seconds, making it the fastest Impreza ever produced.
Initially limited to 75 cars, the Impreza Cossie will have large 355mm AP Racing discs in the front and a bespoke aerodynamic bodykit. It’s likely to undercut the £49,999 Mitsubishi Evo X FQ-400.
Meanwhile, the revised WRX debuted at New York, featuring a host of handling improvements. Front and rear tracks are 35mm wider, giving the WRX a lower, more aggressive stance. New firmer rear suspension bushes and fatter, 235/45R17 tyres boost grip, but power will remain unchanged.
There is no word yet on when the new model will come to the UK.
