Not content with Audi’s range of personalisation options for the new A1? Then German tuner ABT Sportsline has the answer. The firm is the largest VW tuner in the world, and is well connected to the VW Group, particularly in terms of motorsport.
So it’s no surprise that the ABT A1 has gained a number of enhancements aimed at making it a tiny bit quicker. Thanks to a custom remap, the power of the 1.2-litre TFSI petrol engine rises from 84bhp to 114bhp, while the bigger 1.4-litre TFSI petrol unit goes from 121bhp to 148bhp.
The diesel powered A1 can also be given a tweak, with a maximum power of 121bhp available from the 1.6-litre unit. To compliment the extra power, ABT also fits lowered springs to the suspension and adds a new sports exhaust, and offers a full bodykit, comprising side skirts, splitters and wings.
ABT has also developed three colour-coded versions of the A1 (pictured) called Splash red, High Voltage black and Aloha white, and a set of bigger alloys. The ABT tuning products will be available from selected Audi dealers.
